Anyone any experience of Stagecoach/Theatretrain? I am considering it it for DD 7 but it is sooooo expensive? Is it worth it? She is going to stop dancing locally as the standard is not very good so don't want a repeat of the same iykwim with the performing arts.

My kids have not personally done either of these, but I did consider them, but like you said they are sooooooooo expensive and I always thought if we had to miss one weekend because of a party etc, you have lost that £25.00, plus it does take a big chunk out of your saturday and makes it difficult to go out for the day on the spur of the moment.
We opted instead for Helen o'grady drama academy, its probably not as good and they only do the drama bit but I think it was a good way to see if they enjoyed that kind of thing and if so maybe move on the the stagecoach type places when your daughter is a little older, or maybe just look at better dance schools in your area if that is what your daughter is showing an interest in.

Thanks Bettyboop but I have taken the bull by the horns as they say and enrolled for stagecoach she starts after Easter.
We are giving up some of the other activities in order to fund it and just see what happens she is keen to join Silvia Youngs Theatre School. Guess I will have to start saving now then!

I thought I would provide a update DD has started stagecoach and absolutely loves it. If she comes out with that lovely smiley face everyweek I think it is well worth the money.

Also found a better dance school. Its a bit out of area but feel its worth it.
