Getting very nervous now, our appeal is at 12.30 today, no idea how it will go, others that have already done it on friday said it was quite intense, Fingers crossed they will go easy on us and think we have a great case

Thanks for asking, it went ok I think but I really have no idea what way the result will go, there are about 25 people appealing and many seem to have a stronger case than us from what I have gathered. we should hopefully hear in the next couple of days so I will let you know the outcome, fingers crossed

Bad news!!!! our appeal was unsuccessfull,really gutted,my DD seems ok about it at the moment but we are all very dissapointed, still must try and be positive about the school we have got,not much more we can do,

Do you have any advice to offer others? What types of questions were asked and why do you think others had a stronger case?

It is a truely intense process. But you do have to look at the positives of the school your DD will be going to. Will many of her friends be going to the other school also?

What subjects do they specialise in?

I have often found this to be true and usually, if things haven't turned out the way we intended often it has ended up being for the best.
