Help, we have just had our appeal date through this morning and its for when we are on holiday,(i just knew this would happen) I phoned them and they said they cannot offer another date as the diaries are all full. Has anybody ever been in this situation and do you think we are less likely to be successful if we dont go to the appeal hearing. We could send my mother in law but really dont know if this is a good idea or not, i could cry!!!

OMG poor you, are you going overseas? If you are in the UK could you come back just for the one day.
I don't know how it works but you need to put a strong case forward, why the school is the only reasonable option ect or plead:-) Is MIL going to be able to do this?

Thanks spice, but we have luckily managed to get another date, we are over the moon DH called about putting our name down for cancellations and the woman said "can you do the 9th" "YES YES YES!!!!!!" said my DH, such a relief that is the day after we get back from our holiday.
We are going to Florida so coming back would have been out of the question, but we were thinking of cutting it short if we had to, so glad we dont have to now, as i think we could all do with a holiday . Just got to think about the appeal now and get all our info together, nerve wracking to say the least. but at least we have a chance now rather than relying on MIL, which was a bit of a scary thought!
